Belgium Coastal Path – 4

Groenendijk Strand to Bray-Dunes France 3rd July 2025

Temperatures look good today and the wind has backed slightly into the north so is a little more over my right shoulder than in my face. The plan is to cross into France and pick up the start of the GR120 which I hope to complete next year.

Leaving Nieuwport. Sun is shinning and it’s not too hot.
Dunkirk on the horizon but not picked up in the photo.
That mermaid woman ready to be thrown back in.
There are a few people still around but they disappear in the hugheness of the continual beach. Dunkirk visable now.
Not sure if they be migrants or a group of holday makers gathered at the coast waiting for something to pass by.
Old Leopold I the first king of the Belgians.

Still so far away that I won’t reach it until tomorrow.
Belgium and a turn of 180 …
France. Yep on the border.

Despite being tired to day was good. The weather stayed on the right side of too hot until the very end and I have traversed another country – this time Belgium. France and teh GR120 awaits.
