Fuerteventura – 2

La Olivia to Tefia – 19th February 2025

A shorter day today but much the same wind conditions. Was well sick of it after the first six miles. Also forgot to get more cash which didn’t help when I managed to get to the only place open on the route for a break, because they did not take cards.

The church in the town square at La Olivia.
Is it me or has that dog got a big pair of pups?
I could almost draw better.
Got to scoot round that lonely volcano.
The road is like this to the first little town – six miles.
There ya go, a helpful little plaque.
The barren west. Just like most of Lanzarote, the western side of the island is empty.
A large goat farm. The lowland brothers and sisters of the volcano type.
It pleases me greatly when there is no sign of human habitation.
Some ancient rock art which is a no go.
They be at the top of that one.
A lonely sort of monument.
Much blacker stuff and in the distance, Tefia.
We are so proud of our phallic shaped sculture that we put a ring around it.

Very tired after today but to be expected. Another twelve miles tomorrow and then maybe two short days.
