Bornholm – 5

Hotel Skovly to Arnager Havn – 6th May 2025

Sunny today but still only 10 degress or so and feeling a lot less than that in the wind.
Part of today is through Rønne where I should be able to get the necessary. Unfortunately, it is a bit early on in the trek since I don’t like to stop for the first two hours. After that nothing at all for the next two days. It will have to be a few biscuits or such.

Most of the coastal path will be through the forest at the top of the beach. This one is a bit older and exclusively pine.
Approaching Rønne.
The wind turbine storage. I think they are for positions in the Baltic sea not on the island.
So much bigger than your think.
Seeing a lot of the wood pigeons paring off.
Heading out of Rønne.
Pine forest on this side too. I imagine that they don’t get too old before harvest because all the houses are built of wood.
Down past the airport.
Arnager Havn sticking out.
Just a bit of a schlep along the side of the fields disturbing the millions of flies.
That’s why it was sticking out. The harbour is at the end of the pier.
Looking towards Dueodde strand in the far distance.
I’ve had my juice and biscuits, now have to head back for my lift.

I’m not given to stopping unless there is a café or such on the trail at convenient points and I know that this bad and contributes to me feeling more sore at the end of the day but it is my way. Again impressed at the lack of litter and mess we humans seem to leave at our arses everywhere else.
