The Wales Coastal Path

Part 1. The Gower Peninsula – 9th to 12th July 2024

I decided to take the opportunity to get a bit of the coastal path in while chaperoning Alex to her work experience placement in the Egypt Centre of Swansea University.
Things were a bit tight as we only arrived back in Dublin from Italy at 11.30 ish on the Monday then had to drive up to Belfast, repack and then get to Belfast International for a trip to Bristol. Who knew that it was so popular – four flights a day presumably all packed like ours. A hike in the rain followed to get to the car and then a two hour drive to Swansea. I was f’d big style.
My vague plan, is to do Wales in May, June, July or September when it should be warm and dry but so far nothing but rain and grey skies to speak of.
