Camí de Cavalls -6

Favàritx to Arenal de Son Saura – 14th April 2026

The rain stayed away and, though windy, the sun came out later in the day.
Climbs were not too severe and the descents dry. The section through Cala Addaia was lovely walking through the pines with the sea inlets full of birds and the sun shining on the water.

Leaving the Cap de Faváritx again.
A herd of cows and on the middle of the track the bull! A moment was had.
In the distance Na Macaret hanging off the cliffs.
A few headlands to climb.
A giant sea serpent rises?
A green and pleasant land.
These wooden bulwarks must start off as a good idea, though the spacing is always awkward for my stride. Then erosion sets in and people like me ignore them and walk down the sides.
Weird and wonderful, worn by the wind and water.
The old salt pans of the Cala Addaia.
Have become protected lagoons for the wildlife.
One large trout.
A shaded climb through the pines with the raucous bird song. I am in awe of the loudness but often wonder what it must have been like before we came along to shit up the place.
Around this bay and up to Port d’Addaia and hopefully somewhere open for a break.
A view of the lagoons.
But first up through this village for Spanish rhyming poets.
Descending to Arenal d’en Castell.
The beach at Arenal d’en Castell
Who let the goats out? Who? Who?
Around these cliff tops to Arenal de Son Saura.
The beach at Arenal de Son Saura.

A very nice day. Pain free mostly and no rain. The cold wind was gone by the end and it turned out very nice.
