Brouwers Noordzeestrand to Neeltje Jans – 28th July 2025

Suffering a bit today. I think that I might be taken down by the swellings in my lower legs, which don’t bode well. We’ll see how I get on today.

Giving the beach a rest and heading along the cycle track that runs along the inside of the dune dykes.
Some nice shaded bits.
This path runs all the way to the dam at Oosterschelde, which means hundreds of bikes coming at me – as you can see.
A little, Titchmarsh desgined, waterfeature for your rear garden.
The first part of the Oosterschelde.
The only bit of beach today.
Over the first bit and heading on to turbine island. Finish behind the control tower – as seems the way these days.
Doing their best not to swear at the bloody shouder blockers.
Half way across.
The parking at the tower. The other half can wait until tomorrow.

Rather a lot of swelling now around the elastic of my socks. Could be circulation which is a big issue. But a bit of a rest and we’ll see where we are.
